Biography: Nawab Aziz Jung's grandson and Aliuddin Ahmed, Nawab
Deen Yar Jung's son, Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed was a member of the Indian
Administrative Service. He has outstanding administrative and Scholastic
abilities. Dr. Ahmed as a youth was very serious about his
education, work, and the burden he was expected to carry being the descendent
of a highly qualified family of administrators and scholars. While still
young he organized the 'Iqbal Day', and 'Yom-e-Villa'. He founded the 'Villa
Academy', and published several books authored by Aziz Jung Villa by him and
by other authors. While in Europe and Japan he donated several Urdu books
to the overseas libraries to promote the Urdu language under the 'Pustak
Daan' movement in the mid 1950s. He attended World Pacifist Conference and
the World Religion Congress in Japan to promote World Peace in 1954. An able administrator, an eminent scholar, and author of
several books. His scholastic publications were published worldwide. While
just a student Dr. Ahmed's two books were published, 'Fitri-Ilaaj' (The
Science of Nature Cure), and the Urdu translation of 'Srimad Bhagavath Gita'.
Dr. Ahmed spent more than 35 years serving the State and
Central Governments in India and occupied high positions. While in New Delhi in 1973 his Magnum Opus 'Urdu
Word Count' was published. This book was released by the then Prime Minister
of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi and was presented to her by I. K. Gujral who was
then the Cabinet Minister of Information & Broadcasting and later, Prime
Minister of India. In 1975 the President of India, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed
released another noteworthy publication ‘Anjuman’ in New Delhi. He is
responsible for the construction of Ghalib Hall in Mehboobnagar. While he was
still at Mehboobnagar he founded a school for the poor, which was run by the
officer's wives. At present the school is funded by the government and has
full time teachers. While in United States in 1980, Dr. Ahmed founded the
Amir Khusrau Society of North America, which was run under various
administrations for the past 20 plus years. In 1987 the Iqra Publications
International published his book, 'An Easy Way to the Understanding of the
Qur'an'. This book originally in English was very highly acclaimed worldwide
and was translated into several languages including Urdu, Telugu, and Hindi.
Dr. Ahmed was invited to Pakistan when the Urdu edition was released by Mr.
Javid Jabbar, Minister Information was presented with a literary award. Dr. Ahmed was the President of Indo- Middle East
Cultural Studies, Founder-President Villa Academy, and General Secretary All
India Amir Khusrau Society whose Vice President was Governor Ali Yaver Jung
and it’s President was the President of India Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed. Dr.
Hasanuddin Ahmed was a very close friend of the President of India. After his retirement from the civil service, he was
invited to Iran and Saudi Arabia. He also served as Member of the Central
Wakf Council and as Chairman Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board. He was later the Chairman Minorities Commission, a State
Minister's rank. |
